Maria Muszynski is a Calgary artist who has had a varied career as a teacher, illustrator, graphic designer, festival administrator, costume and set designer among other things.
Maria is drawn to the immediacy of charcoal drawing but also passionately paints and expresses her creativity in all forms of media. Her subject matter varies from whimsical and realistically rendered still-life compositions to colourful abstracted assemblages, landscapes with an eclectic twist and exquisite traditional icons and illuminations.
